EureScribe is a transcription software system that makes transcription of any audio and video files fast and easy. EureScribe breakes the media file that you need to create a transcription for into short segments that are easy to keep in memory. All of the program functions are accessible through keyboard shortcuts, so you will not need to take your hands away from the keyboard and will allow you to concentrate on typing. The results of the transcription may be saved into a Word (RTF) document or as subtitles for a video file (in SRT format).
EureScribe comes in two flavours:
Personal Edition:
This edition is meant to be installed and used on one computer, it contains all the main features that EureScribe can offer, including:
- support for most of the known media types (through superior FFMPEG media converter), including .WAV, .MP3, .WMA, .AVI, MPEG, DVD video.
- Segmenting the media into small easy to remember segments
- Saving transcription into Word or as video subtitiles.
- Displaying current segment statuses, allowing to mark segments as completed or problem, giving the ability to return to some of them later.

Workgroup edition:
Workgroup edition of EureScribe is meant to be used in organization where a group of stenographers work on creating a transcription for one media file. This edition contains all of the features that Personal edition has + it allows to connect mutliple transcription applications over the local network or internet.
